I talked with Matt prior to Jess and I heading to church with Payge. He mentioned he talked with one her doctors who informed Matt that they are very happy with her progress and that she is doing well with good steps towards recovery. He said her platelet count was 111, which is still going up from her 101. Doctors mentioned they have her on morphine again, in order to provide time to rest and prepare for weaning from vent. Matt said they hope to really begin trying to wean her in the next few days. He mentioned that her urine output remained good and with good color. He says the nurses have cont. to keep her bathed and are trying to take really good care of her back side to keep from getting skin breakdown. Matt thought her left arm was looking better. He had a good tone about him and it sounded as if he was very pleased at this point. He was able to spend time with all the girls this afternoon after church. We went to Moms and had lunch and hung out for a little bit. He then took back off to Morgantown in Dads Jeep, since I have to start going back to work and need to get some things done here on my end. It is hard to leave him alone, but it is easier knowing that Wendy is progressing and he doing well. HE continues to be a Rock for his family and will continue to need your prayers to guide him through. I ask that you pray for everyone that will be influencing and caring for the girls this week. He has tried to devise a scenario that will enable all 4 girls to be together as much as possible and to keep with the same hectic lifestyle that household maintained prior to all of this.
